Shearing of the Sheep is a Belgian jacquard wall tapestry. The original medieval tapestry was woven in around year 1520 in Tournai and now hangs in the Louvre in Paris. This scene is part of a larger work that demonstrates the different jobs and processes involved in working wool in medieval times. Here a woman sheers the lambs in a garden-like setting with a mille fleurs background.
